Semicron Systems offers a number of all–in–one point of sale systems to fit your needs and budget. The SEM-605 is a POS Package complete with computer, peripherals, and the Cash Register Express software.
The Semicron System includes an HP computer with an 80GB hard drive and 512MB RAM. It also includes a customer display, cash drawer, laser barcode scanner, keyboard, receipt printer, mouse and a 17” LCD monitor.
This hardware will work fine for a small retail shop, additionally the system is made-to-order with the drives you need and monitor that will fit your retail. You can also choose the color of the system (in this case, black or beige).
The POS software included in this system is Cash Register Express by PC America. This software will perform all of the basic functions of a point of sale program. It will record customer information and track transaction history and customer’s credit limits.
Cash Register Express will also track and allow you to search inventory, is password protected and provides a number of practical reports.
Cash Register Express has an easy–to–use screen with big buttons. We reviewed the SEM–605, but Semicron offers a variety of products. You can find the product that will fit your budget and business needs.
All the peripherals and software is compatible in this ready–to–use package—no need to worry about compatibility problems.
At $2,059, this is the cheapest software–based point of sale system we reviewed.
Semicron Systems offers customer support by email or phone. You can add on–site installation and on–site training for you and your staff for a fee. They claim it only takes 60 minutes to train a staff member.
This is a budget–friendly system but seems to be outdated. Semicron does offer a variety of other POS computerized solutions, but even the better packages seem a little old.
