Conquest Financial Services offers the Conquest Business Center, an all–in–one business solution that’s good for retail shops, kiosks, fairs, restaurants, coffee shops and other retail outlets. The system is web-based and so has some versatile features, but requires a separate computer to actually access reports.

Conquest evaluates the needs of your business and prepares a hardware package with exactly what you need with high–quality peripherals including scanners, card readers and printers. Additionally, the Internet–based software allows you to access your inventory, reports and more from any computer with an Internet connection.

POS Hardware:   Excellent

The Compact Business Center is the only one of its kind—a self–contained unit with a thermal printer, card reader, telephone (optional) and alphanumerical screen built into a compact package. With a small footprint, there is no need to store a PC tower. This is an excellent choice for small to mid–sized stores wanting to save counter space.

The Conquest hardware package is completely customizable; you can select any peripheral device that you need such as barcode readers, check readers, external keyboards, electronic scales, signature capture devices and more. A unique feature to the Conquest Business Center is an integrated royalty card and coupon reader. You can also add a built–in telephone and a slot for SD/MMC memory cards to back–up important files quickly and easily.

The only downside to this hardware is it doesn’t incorporate a computer monitor at the point of sale station. So, you won’t be able to access and view Internet websites or use other software such as accounting programs or office software. It’s necessary to have a separate PC in the store, your home or office to perform business tasks.

POS Software:   Excellent

The web–based Conquest software will allow you to access your inventory, reports and other features of the software from any PC that’s connected to the Web. In fact, the majority of the setup process will have to be done from a separate computer. Another advantage of a web–based solution is all of your information is stored on their server. All of your important data, like customer information, inventory and financial reports, is secure.

The Conquest point of sale software has all of the features to operate your store efficiently and effectively. At the point of sale, you are able to record customer information, view the customer’s transaction history, verify age and search your inventory by many different criteria. The inventory updates real–time, regardless of the number of locations you have.

The software offers multiple levels of security, all of which are password protected. It will also track employee’s commission and time worked. The reports are accessible from any computer and provide valuable information that will help you make educated decisions concerning your business.

Functionality/Ease of Use:   Excellent

Conquest offers a complete point of sale solution with the Business Center—you’ll have absolutely no hardware or software compatibility problems. This is an excellent system for a growing business as you can easily add hardware or even another system.

The Conquest website is easy to navigate and user friendly; even the computer novice will feel confident in setting up the database and entering inventory. This can be done from any computer with an Internet connection.

Price/Value:   Excellent

For the price, the Conquest Business Center price is decent for what it offers.. However, you will have to pay the $99 monthly fee. Keep in mind that while this is an innovative all-in-one register unit, you must also have a separate internet-connected computer.

Training/Support:   Excellent

The web video demo will take you step by step through the entire process of setting up your account, making requests, and entering suppliers and customers. The video was somewhat choppy when we watched it, but it was informative. They also offer free training over the phone and there is no time limitation.

Conquest offers phone support with friendly and helpful representatives. You can also contact the company by email.

The system comes with a 1–year parts and labor warranty. You can add an additional lifetime warranty for $30 a month. Under the lifetime warranty, if anything happens to your hardware they will replace it the next business day.

Summary:  

The Conquest Business Center is a decent point of sale solution for small to medium sized retails, but it seems a litle outdated. The web–based software provides easy access to reports and inventory from any computer with an Internet connection, but this requires a separate computer.
